Low detailing of criteria for the scientific periodicals, approved for the publication of dissertation works result in worsening of the quality of scientific research in our country. To resolve this problem we offer the list of changes in the orders of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 1111 and № 1112. They include the necessity for foreign journals to be registered in the international scientometric databases - Scopus and Web of science. Ukrainian journals should be encouraged to restrict their field of specialization and number of articles published per one year. The field of specialization should be in accordance with the specialization of the editor-in-chief and all the members of editorial board. The number of such journals should correlate with the number of respective Specialized scientific council and dissertations in this field. Equalization of electronic-only journals in their rights with printed journals will improve the representativeness of Ukrainian periodicals in the Internet. Additionally, decrease in the minimal number of articles for the Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Science from 20 to 10 will allow to increase the quality of such articles and journals where they will be published.References
